Located at the intersection of the generously landscaped Svoboda Boulevard and Koprivshtitsa Boulevard, in a quiet and well-connected area of Plovdiv, Iconica is a residential project that fits into its context with the purity of its form and its generous park space. In the immediate vicinity is one of the largest parks in Plovdiv, the Mladezhki Hill, and another modern residential building – Royal River, influenced by the natural features of the surrounding area.
The concept is rooted in the idea of metamorphosis, drawing inspiration from the sculptural power of water as it flows through natural terrain and transforms it with its movement. The structure feels like an evolving form in harmony with its surroundings. This impression is further enhanced by the landscaping of terraces and roofs, which are a natural extension of the adjacent green areas.
The design combines clarity and simplicity with a subtle geometric interplay that introduces dynamism. A lower volume connects two towers, creating a human-scale base that grounds the building in its surroundings. This is a strategic decision that influences the perception of the project's scale. The proportions are finely adjusted through the overall exterior composition - alternating dark and light stripes emphasize the horizontals and optically reduce the height of the towers.
With its clean architectural language, large open spaces, and lushly landscaped park, Iconica doesn't just fit into Plovdiv's landscape—it elevates it. The project introduces a new vision for a residential environment in which contemporary life, nature, and architecture exist in a conscious, harmonious dialogue.
