A spatial composed anagram creates dynamic story on the facade of the AURORA residential building

The face-off with a limiting assignment activates the imagination. And since architecture is essentially a visual expression, supported by a constructional foundation, the strict framework of the urban design serves as a catalyst for ideas. In a layout, the factors of the space and volume enter with their full possible capacity, following the will of the investor. To a larger extent, this determines the horizontal and vertical outlines of the architectural forms. The white, plain walls of the facades create an illusion of serenity and neat order, while the straight forms and coordinated lines almost succeed in confirming the feeling of strict geometry. Close focus, however, reveals a plastic asymmetry which, through its components, suggests a homogeneous appearance, but when viewed in detail, piece by piece, abstract elements begin to stand out. As if in a cubic anagram, the highlights and shadows "hide" and " extract" the floating configuration of balconies of different volume and shape. Upon closer inspection, what the mind has accepted as a monotonous layout, gradually begins to reveal the surprising logic of an immaculately controlled chaos. It would take a full tour around the building to trace the vertical dynamics and the coded façade anagram.

The building is situated in one of the most peaceful and green districts of Sofia, next to Geo Milev Park. The area is characterized by predominantly residential development, and the urban line is formed by mixed new and old construction. The new residential building reflects the sunshine with an attractive silhouette, composed of eight residential floors and two underground garage levels. The ground floor apartments have the advantage of featuring a courtyard garden, while the remaining 7 floors accommodate different sized apartments. The top floors are privileged with beautiful panoramic views of the city and the slopes of Vitosha. The architectural concept is transferred into the interior spaces. Some of the apartments have been also developed, and their interior design following the set line from the exterior - sleek shapes, soft tones and homogeneous, smooth surfaces with muted contrast and fine, woody decor.
